Perches are regarded as disposable items and should be replaced often!! Perches are also used for standing, playing, climbing, rubbing, and cleaning their beaks. That is enrichment right there! When a bird is not flying it is standing. Perch diameters should vary in size and texture which will in turn avoid foot related issues.
